In the very near future some of the diseases we live with today have raged out of control, and the government decides to quarantine all those infected with them to an obscure island. One such carrier is Sharon, a smart but cynical lady who is shipped off along with a group of other diagnosed “incurables.” It isn’t long however before she discovers what the island truly is: a refuge filled with desperate and despairing people.

Sharon struggles to keep her humanity in this savage new environment. Unfortunately a sudden plague soon develops and the old islanders blame it on their newest shipment of “incurables.” As paranoia divides the population, Sharon and the other newcomers eventually seek refuge in the wilds of the island. But there they discover that an even more horrible fate awaits them, and Sharon’s true race against time begins.
