Synopsis

Alice Waters was hanged in 1947 for poisoning Ailsa and Robbie Lodwick. In 1999, Madeleine Chapman, the daughter Alice left to face an uncertain future, travels to Wales with her own daughter in order to discover the truth about her mother and her own past. The journey uncovers the secret that has overshadowed her life.
