Popular historians have seldom written about the “other D-Day.” But the massive invasion of the French Riviera - just weeks after the Normandy invasion of 1944 - opened up the key ports of Marseilles and Toulon for the Allies, made it possible to refuel the stalled American advance, and persuaded Adolf Hitler to withdraw German troops from France. Here, in this Kindle Single, is the dramatic story of Operation Dragoon.
