Miruku, the blind son of a nobleman, has been cloistered since childhood, but now his father and half-sister have been murdered and the demon responsible has captured him. Miruku believes he will die, until Kiniroshinju, the Golden Pearl, names the young man a demon as well.

Despite their violent first meeting, Miruku suffers a helpless attraction for his captor. As he struggles with the morality of his feelings, he must also survive the attention of the warlord who helped Kiniroshinju capture him.
