Synopsis

When was the last time you got to embark on a great and daring adventure?

Chock full of mystery, suspense and intrigue, The Pelican Trees allows each reader to do just that, each step carefully orchestrated by a loving grandfather (already in Heaven) trying to rescue his precious granddaughter and the rest of his family from eternal condemnation.

Shocking...

Left out of her grandfather's will for no apparent reason, Shelby McKinney mysteriously receives a post-dated letter from him a few days later, stating that he hadn’t forgotten about her after all. But if she wants her inheritance, she must find it buried six-feet beneath the sand somewhere in the state of Florida.

Exciting...

The only available clues, limited as they are, were stored in a bank safe-deposit box somewhere in the Sunshine State. Shelby is given ninety-days to locate the bank, decipher all clues and find her buried inheritance. If she doesn’t find it within the ninety-day time frame, she’ll be forced to forfeit it altogether.

Riveting...

Facing insurmountable odds, Shelby embarks on an exciting family adventure. It quickly turns dangerous when the wife and mother of three discovers she isn’t the only one searching for the buried treasure chest. Six extremely dangerous, greedy men are carefully monitoring her every move, fully determined to use any and all necessary measures to steal it from her the moment she unearths it.

Suspenseful...

Not only does this tumultuous voyage of self-discovery nearly cost Shelby her life, she is also confronted by the ever-present spirit world like never before!

Soul-lifting...

But with one-hundred and forty strangers constantly praying for her, Shelby ultimately realizes the adventure her beloved grandfather sent her on was so much more than a personal quest to find her buried inheritance.

Life-transforming...

In the end, Shelby McKinney finds so much more than that underneath the pelican trees....

Not only are the “race and forgiveness factors” palpable throughout the entire story, there are enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the very end, making this the perfect summer read...

About A GRATEFUL BELIEVER

The author of this book is a practicing Christian living in Florida who wishes to remain anonymous for the time being. This is his fourth book, but his first time using the pen name, "A Grateful Believer". He chose this name for three reasons: 1) as a dedicated Christian, he really is a grateful believer, 2) to bring "The Pelican Trees" story to life, so to speak (You'll have to read it to understand this reason), and 3) he believes the person responsible for writing any particular book is nowhere near as important as the message contained within its pages. That said, it is his wish that the message this story tells greatly impacts each reader, challenging everyone to contemplate life not only on this side of the grave but on the other side as well. After all, with the mortality rate on Planet Earth still 100-percent, each of us will spend eternity at one of two places, based solely upon a single decision which must be made on this side of the grave. That decision will be made crystal clear to each reader of this book. Enjoy reading... Be sure to look for his latest book titled, Coffee In Manila... For His Glory Production Company, Inc. is a Christian outreach group based in Central Florida, and is responsible for publishing this book.
