In 1978, this was the first book to explain how an adoptee can search for her birth mother. The book was out of print from 1980 to 2012. This 2nd edition increased the page quantity from 99 to 938. Volume 1 begins with Questions and Answers (which explore the adoptee's situation and her search for her birth parents). It continues with geographic coverage of U.S. states A-M plus Canada and five other countries. Published by the Adoption Bibliography Center, New York, NY.
