Synopsis

Uncover the future of business, as it shifts to transparency, accountability and responsibility, in a shared response to an uncertain world shaped by the global financial crisis. Trust is the currency of success in the new era. It is the cure to restoring confidence between employees, customers, investors and suppliers; and to drive the growth our economic system and society requires.

The Trust Future foretells this critical change, and what leaders must do to engage their employees and stakeholders, and to reduce the political games that destroy value in their organisations. It unearths the false premises that erode business resilience, and unleashes the hidden productivity, passion and innovation lying dormant within every company.

For business leaders, it is a management blueprint for organisational health. Packed full of ground-breaking research, case studies, astonishing business facts you never thought possible and, personal stories, this book contains what every manager needs to learn to build a better business.

For employees, it is a manual for a happier and more successful career.

The Trust Future will open your eyes to a smarter way to create growth and prosperity, and to finding the authentic you, along the way. Once you read it, you will never operate in the same way again.

Omer Soker is a member of the Alliance of Trustworthy Business Experts; a global movement of recognised thought leaders on trust and ethics. His insights come from a powerfully diverse 32-year career in senior management at multinational corporations, entrepreneurial ventures in Australia and Hong Kong, two remits as a hard-driven change agent, and volunteering as an accredited Buddhist teacher to help school children learn how to be happy.

Omer Soker is a member of the Alliance of Trustworthy Business Experts; a global movement of recognised thought leaders on trust and ethics. His insights for The Trust Future come from a powerfully diverse 32-year career in senior management at multi-national corporations, his own entrepreneurial ventures in Australia and Hong Kong, two remits as a hard-driven change agent brought in to fix broken companies and volunteering his time as an accredited Buddhist teacher to help school children learn how to be happy. These opposing experiences have given Omer a fascinatingly rounded view on success; what works, what does not and why. He detects what many leaders miss, by foreseeing the cause and effects of decisions into the future. He refuses to buy into the ego or pretence of management, and leads with humility, humour and courage because it is what works best, and just happens to be ethical. His passion in writing the book comes from wanting to help leaders and employees realise that the road to true success is simpler and less stressful than it is made out to be. In his spare time, he practices martial arts, meditation and merrymaking. Testimonials: I have known Omer Soker for many years as a man of high ethical standards, trust, honesty and integrity. Jon Stanfield, CEO, Horizon Credit Union. Omer was a wonderful leader and mentor to me, ethical to work with and highly respected by his peers for his integrity and business efficacy. Companies will benefit from listening to him and his ethos - Amelia Coote, Event Manager, Reed Exhibitions.
