"Although this novel is powered by a fluid writing style and a strong narrative voice, the storyline is decidedly loose, with many nebulous and confusing elements and plot points...The lack of narrative focus, or clarity, is a major flaw, as is the inundation of grammatical errors."

Synopsis

"Kanna Marshall leads a normal teenage life in an equally as normal town. Still, something gnaws at her, telling her there is something more than this mundane existence.

Then Nix Clarentiene; a mysterious, brooding and dark eyed stranger appears on her doorstep. Intensely dedicated and well spoken, Nix pulls at her curiosity. Unsure if she should trust him or not, Kanna allows herself to be drawn from her home and single mother into a world of intrigue, honour and adventure.

Kanna soon realizes the consequences to her less than thought out decision and is left with only two options. Return home to normality and go off to college as her mother expects, or stay and become the legend that this new world believes her to be."
