Synopsis

The Youngest Patriot is the story, the first in the trilogy, of the coming of age of a young boy set against the turmoil of the British occupation of Long Island during the American Revolution. Elijah Churchill defies his father and joins the Continental Army at age thirteen. The story culminates with Elijah as the recipent of the first Purple Heart; designed and awarded by General George Washington.
