Synopsis

Grisham manages to teach readers a fair bit of law along the way. Eminent domain is a topic that readers of this book will be diligently tutored in. The workings of town politics are also presented in this story.

The plot-driven books in the Theorodre Boone series focus on the story more than the characters. Like Nancy Drew, Theodore is somewhat two-dimensional, missing the real depth of a teenager.
