I am leaving a small trail of stories, my interpretation of your journey. Your journey, a milestone through life.miles traveled from inside the bellybutton window. The stories are details of our family's daily lives overtime.. All in which had an invisible audience. The stories are yours, Lil' Seed, my imaginary view of what I thought you were doing, saying, thinking, and how you were growing behind the bellybutton window; as I waited for the baby bird plane, the stork, to arrive. The journal is something you will have forever, to read, to smile about and remember the crazy lady who wanted you so badly. The lady, who talked and sang through the bellybutton window, I believe, the journal is something worth leaving behind.

I grew up as a military pilot’s daughter.  I always thought of my dad as the captain of our ship always moving us into new waters.  My mother was the anchor; constantly putting our lives back into perspective.  My dad showed me how to see the world through my own eyes, I believe, this is the reason I was blessed with a vivid imagination.  And he taught me to take time to enjoy and love the simple things in life such as a hummingbird drinking nectar from fresh flowers or winters first falling snow.  The things most people take for granted, God’s simplest treasures. When I started college, I began taking classes in creative writing.  I loved taking a family situation and turning it into a short story, a story for people to read and be able relate to in their own lives.  Or to tell a story about the animals who live in my woods to an audience of two year olds and hold their attention.  Stories are the way we can relate our feelings to another human being, whether it be happy or sad.  As long as I can touch one person with my stories I will have accomplished my dream, making someone else smile.
