Synopsis

Dr. Isaiah Duwitt is a mad scientist with a penchant for chartreuse frock coats and a bad habit of making steam bots that go bad. Violet Hatley and Miss Liza Duwitt are two lovely victorian succubi. One lives with her unfaithful zombie husband. The other prefers the company of hypnotized boy-toys, her latest catch a very unlucky Mr. Butkiss. Living side-by-side to each other, as well as a pirate couple in a steam engine home, a ghost, and a vampire pool boy, these characters share their stories in 10 flash fiction tales of steampunk silliness and spookery.

About Emily White

Emily White is a nerd. She prefers her men fully clothed and donning bowties, her commas British, her books cheesy with big, overly-dramatic explosions, her characters awkward and endearingly real,* and watching her movies in authentic turn-of-the-century theaters. When not exposing her nerdy self to the world, she's creating her own friends and putting them in horrible, yet sometimes humorous situations.Check out her YA Space Opera series starting with Elemental (Spencer Hill Press, 2012), continuing with FAE (SHP, December 2013), and ending sometime in the near future with a book she has yet to write. She's also authored a collection of Steampunk (zombie, werebot romance) flash fiction, if you're into those kinds of things, titled "To Love or Die in a Steamy-Reamy World." Her YA Contemporary Fantasy, ALMOST NIGHT, will be out this summer.
