In a fractured future, Americans are divided into religious and ideological factions, engaged in never-ending war for territory, fuel, and food. With winter rapidly descending, Bayle Bonner walks 300 miles across what used to be the Pennsylvania Turnpike to honor a promise. A tale of dark fantasy in a post-apocalyptic dystopian America, Toll Road sees Bayle survive confrontations with religious zealots and outlaw bikers to complete his quest.
