As a native Floridian, Michele Bekemeyer spent the majority of her youth out of the heat and inside where the air was cool and she didn't have to worry about sunburns. Even as a child, she could be found with her nose between the pages of a book. Still, it took her awhile to realize that she didn't just love reading, she loved writing, loved the idea that the characters she connected with and their amazing lives were born from a tiny little spot inside someone's brain. From truly awful poetry came short stories, then screenplays, and eventually, novels. For Michele, the transition was inevitable. After all, she believes authors don't choose their stories; stories choose their tellers and characters have a way of slipping into one's brain and leaving an unmistakable imprint.Michele studied Mathematics at University of Central Florida and currently spends her days as a financial analyst. One day she hopes to transform the numbers on her computer screen into stories that readers can't wait to get their hands on.
