Vampire's Retribution is a novella that takes place in the late 1800s after the Civil War. Dealing cards on a riverboat, Carl Tamell has a bad night and is fired from his job as a dealer. Adding insult to injury, his boss, Mr. Uptoll, docks all of his pay and has him thrown off the boat.

That's when the vampire Gaius comes along. He turns Carl into a vampire. Gaius takes Carl under his wing teaching him the necessities of his new existence. Soon Carl feels it is time, time for a vampire's retribution.

Jeremiah Coe has created an adventure, horror story set in the backdrop of post civil war America. The story will draw you in and won't let go until the very last word. If you like vampires, this one takes you into a time and place rarely used in this kind of tale.
