Synopsis

Like its predecessors, 'The Journey of Innocence' and 'Braving a New World', 'Awakening the Woman Within' has been translated from the original Portuguese journals Veronica kept throughout her life. After thirty years of marriage she finds the courage to ask for a divorce. Chronologically she is 47 years old but physiologically she is a youthful college student with a new career in mind. Upon Awakening the Woman Within, Veronica becomes an eager student of life, school and romance. Dating is something she never experienced before getting married and she embraces it wholeheartedly. Soon she learns that her lovers do not fit the role model of the romance novels she used to read as a young girl, but instead of giving up, she is on a path of discovery like a relentless pioneer facing the unknown, yet still expecting a world of possibilities.
