Matt finds a new job and a new chance for the success he's always dreamed of. But the company, and the isolated desert town where it's based, hold as many unexpected temptations as they do dark secrets.

Beautiful, young professionals crowd the company orientation sessions, the city streets, and the pool of his apartment complex. Matt becomes addicted to the corporate culture that encourages team building activities and intimate group bonding exercises, and finds it impossible to leave even after some of his co-workers begin disappearing – or being “demoted.” He accepts his company's values of loyalty, contribution, and competition and finds himself using the most cutthroat methods to achieve promotion. The higher up the ladder he moves the more deranged he discovers the company to be, until finally he's left with the choice of escape or losing himself entirely.

In this first installment of the series, Matt is struggling to find the job that will catapult him to success. And he's willing to endure almost anything to make it happen.
