Synopsis

Shipwrecked on the wild Western shores of New Zealand, David Campbell begins his new life in this hostile new country, a country struggling to claw it's way into the modern world of Queen Victoria's vast empire.
Under the watchful eyes of those who protect him, he learns the harsh lessons of life, love and war. And in the end comes to understand that the best things in life really are worth fighting for.
Set in the late 1800's, this epic story will take you on a journey through the heartland of Aotearoa, New Zealand, and across the ocean to the human devastation that was the South African Boer War. It will make you smile, and it will make you cry. But in the end will leave you with the knowledge that everyone has their own story to tell. This is David Campbell's story.
