Synopsis

"I love the simplicity of being out in the sun all day without a care in the world: just relaxing. And I love my job! The sea scent gets me every time. The silly tourists get me every time. The Beach Boys in the background gets me every time. And Lynn. My beautiful Lynn. She gets me every time. I am the luckiest guy in the world!

Truth is, I’d rather be wastin’ away here, than anywhere else in the world! When I am acquainted with people and they ask me (like clockwork) how I am doing, I’d always say, “livin’ the dream.” 99.9 percent of the time, they laugh. But I mean it. How many people on this rotating rock can say that with a straight face and mean it? Can you?"

'Wastin' Away' is a fictional memoir of a fella that relocates to Key West, Florida – and decides to waste away his life at a local bar. A bar with a sea salt scent. He finds love, life, and tranquility in paradise.
