The true story of a young girl who passed her driving test in 1954. She and her family saved to buy an old banger, a 1934 Matchbox Ford, and then saved to buy a 1937 Morris 10.
The story relates their thrills and spills as they toured the north of England.
It is full of humour, a little sadness, and gives a glimpse offamily life in the 1950s.
