Synopsis

If you liked Whirlwind Passing - Death Kiss, you'll love this sequel!!

"What the wicked fears will come upon him...
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more"

Proverb 10:24,25

Michael understood the madman lighting fires in Sheridan, and how his mind worked. But that didn't change the fact that his town was held hostage by the elusive arsonist.

Fire, The Enemy, seemed to have a life and spirit of its own, and a brain as well. It maneuvered, it cajoled, it entranced, it enticed. It drew people towards it, as if they were hypnotized, then turned on them with a vicious evil. And, in spite of everything else going on in his life, Michael was responsible for bringing the pyro to justice.

Excerpts:
"...Lacey looked back at the house. The roof was engulfed in flames, as were the other roofs of the homes surrounding them in the housing project. She realized they were almost trapped by the fire. The only escape was for them all to hop on the fire engine, which stood uselessly pumping water on the towering Enemy, and try to make it out of the street through flames now arcing across the road. Once the hose was disconnected, they hung on for dear life, as the engine careened through the wall of flames."

Later, at the fire station:
..."Listen," Cap leaned across the table, and he was very close to the glaring face of Ross, "I know what fire can do to a person, especially a series of arsons like we've had here lately. It gets under your skin. It eats away at you, slowly, and every time you go in and eat more smoke, you think about your dead friends. And then, it eats at you some more. You dream about it. And you get mad, when you think about the pyro going in there and lighting that fire on purpose. There's nowhere for that anger to go."

The detectives hunt for him, the firemen hunt for him, even the mob searches in vain for this elusive criminal. Join the hunt.....
