Synopsis
When Chris''s older brother scares him with a story about a six-toed cat that grew into a wild beast and devoured a girl's pet rabbit, Chris isn't too excited to also hear about his family purchasing a cottage at Lake Frio, where this beast cat roams. Although he knows it could be dangerous seeking out this cat in its own environment, Chris can't keep his curiosity from growing. While at Lake Frio, he meets a local girl named Jesse who shares the same desire to uncover the truth about this mysterious animal.Chris develops a crush on Jesse as their adventure takes way. She introduces him to Old Man Stick, who not only tells them of the cat's fascinating history and connection to the great writer, Ernest Hemingway, but he also warns them of Rodney, a crooked animal control worker with the worst of intentions. Armed with this new knowledge and their undying desire to know the truth for what it stands for, Chris & Jesse embark on an adventurous journey to infamous Wild Beast Cat.
