Synopsis

Polly is an ecologist, passionate and uncompromising about wildlife rights. Against her better judgment she falls in love with Jake, heir to a London media empire, whose development company is about to destroy a beautiful marsh. Can love ever blossom between two such different people as Polly battles to save the marsh? The story is set against the stunning scenery of Scotland as Polly learns to compromise for love and Jake finally finds the life he has always desired.

Carol MacLean is a writer based in Scotland where she was born and grew up. Having spent time living and working in different countries she returned to beautiful Argyll to set-tle down. She has written several romances, mainly contemporary, but has ambitions to write longer historicals – always with a romance at the heart of the story. When not scrib-bling away or having to go to work (!), she enjoys hillwalking and nature-watching in the mountains and by the lochs in the surrounding countryside.
