Winnetou the Apache Knight is a western novel by Karl May about German-American, Old Shatterhand, who is able to outwit and outshoot both Yanks and Indians but finds himself a friend in Winnetou, who is an Apache Indian Chief. This is an important novel which deals with friendship among individuals who come from different backgrounds. This title is highly recommended for those interested in early American and Native American tales, as well as fans of the writings of Karl May.
