"Worlds Apart Book 04: Winter

The Long, Strange Trip of the Pathfinder Ship Pegasus continues.

On the planet Winter, no one ever dies. It’s inhabitants are over 3,000 years old. They were the original colonists who came to the planet from elsewhere in the Commonwealth.

The price of their immortality is having to live on a, Ice Age planet where Winter never ends. Also, they have all gone quite mad; which is one way of keeping entertained on their harsh, desolate ice-world.

So, when First Officer Phil Redfire is accused of murdering an immortal, he must face trial under Winter’s arcane and Kafkaesque legal system; a system where the truth is irrelevant, and innocence is not a defense.

Meanwhile, Prime Commander Keeler risks his life to meet with one a mad general from the Old Commonwealth who may offer clues to the greatest mysteries of the galaxy if he doesn’t lose his temper and lop off Keeler’s head with a sword.

Also, an Aurelian agent has infiltrated Pegasus, and will destroy the ship unless a group of people who don’t officially exist can stop her.

The Worlds Apart novels have been described as vivid, hilarious and reminiscent of Douglas Adams in his heyday. Winter is the fourth of 12."
