There are... a disturbing number of factual errors to go with continuity and logic flaws, and plot holes you could fly a decommissioned shuttle through.

I never felt attached to the characters and there didn't seem to be much to them and they weren't really developed. Since there wasn't much going on, it was a little slow. And boring.

This novels suffers from a somewhat unbalanced structure with 145 pages devoted to the time before the moon expedition in which background is prevented but not much character development occurs.

This book is a translation and sometimes it read like one. There were certain phrases throughout the book that just felt oddly clunky in the story... the characters... are not all that interesting or even all that fleshed out. They were rather flat and the movement in the story came from external conflicts and problems.
