I enjoyed The Singles and can recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a light and engaging read. This will be perfect reading material for the warmer and more relaxed days of summer.
Full ReviewIt’s a lot to keep track of, but Goldstein’s endearing (if a bit one-note and not always completely believable) characters are worth the effort.
Full ReviewOverall a very fun, smart read about a topic that’s been well-covered. Goldstein has a fresh voice that will resonate with readers–especially those looking for good “new adult” titles.
Full ReviewI like that the novel didn’t offer easy answers, and things weren’t sealed and clean by the end.
Full ReviewThe Singles is the perfect light read to tote along this wedding season!
Full ReviewIf you’re thinking, “Gee, they sound pretty dysfunctional,” you’d be right. But that’s exactly what makes Goldstein’s single characters’ stories so brilliant, witty and at times, heartbreaking.
Full ReviewRegardless of its short and sweet nature, The Singles is still a fun read and is a novel that everyone who has ever sat solo at a wedding should be able to relate to.
Full ReviewThe characters were interesting but not that well-developed.
Full ReviewI found The Singles to be charming and heartfelt. I laughed and cried during a few scenes and felt as though the characters were developed very realistically.
Full ReviewI truly enjoyed Goldstein’s writing and was literally laughing out loud (or LOL) in some parts.
Full ReviewOverall, this was a great story from a fresh new voice in chick lit. It was easy to get caught up in the characters' lives, both in their past and present forms.
Full ReviewTherein lies the disappointment with these undeveloped, roughly sketched characters. With short chapters, a fluffy plot, and characters you’ll forget as soon as you close the book, The Singles is a certifiable beach read or rainy day-with-pot-of-tea read (if you, like I, dislike a lot of sun).
