Aunt Dimity is clearly going to appeal to the already established fan base as it did for me, but if I were to have read this book without already being in love with the series, I don’t believe that I would have read another.
Full ReviewOverall, though, I found Aunt Dimity and the Village Witch a pleasant enough read, though not a book which will tempt me to return to its pages again and again.
Full ReviewThis is the perfect series to read during the summer and even the winter. Pick up any of the books at any time because each can stand on its own and readers will not be lost if they start with the eighth book instead of the first.
Full ReviewIt's lots of fun, a light read, but somehow it works.
Full ReviewAtherton has kept the series fresh and fun!
Full ReviewDespite the lack of a murder, cozy fans will enjoy following the far from obvious clues in the effort to exonerate Mistress Meg.
Full ReviewI enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t exactly a murder mystery, although there’s definitely a mystery to solve, and that the village of Finch pulls together to protect one of its own, not once but twice.
Full ReviewAnd if readers need an antidote to cynicism and divisiveness, an Aunt Dimity story … Aunt Dimity and the Village Witch is #17… is the prescription.
Full ReviewI found the first pages slow going.
Full ReviewAll in all this was an amazing cozy that made laugh and even cry. I'm definitely reading the other books in the series some time in the future!
Full ReviewThis was one of my favorite books of the series.
Full ReviewThis book is so well written and so detailed within itself that there is no need to rely on past books for tie ins.
Full ReviewIts a fun hunt to find the truth about the rest of story. I will read more from Nancy in the future.
Full ReviewIn the end, this book is a light read, but it’s delightful nonetheless. If you have a free afternoon, this is one hell of a way to spend it.
Full ReviewAs a person who is trying to find her footing in the world of mysteries, I'm truly thankful that I stumbled upon Nancy Atherton's voice.
