The first book in the back-to-back publishing event to launch the brand new Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel series
The tension in the story seemed too manufactured and while I liked the leads, they weren’t together enough on paper to keep me interested.
Full ReviewThe plot flows well and is entertaining. There is a lot going on throughout the book, but it’s structured well and easy to follow.
Full ReviewI seriously could not stand the supporting cast. Which is a shame because this could have been a fun, light-hearted book.
Full ReviewThe fact that Melissa kept forgetting about a child in danger when she was faced with romantic or work problems made me lose a lot of respect for her. It’s still hard for me to get past, to be honest.
Full ReviewHowever two of the pivotal secondary characters are flat and rather one-dimensional.
Full ReviewI found the conclusion over the top and even irritating and felt somewhat let down by it.
Full ReviewThis is a fun, light hearted start to what I am hoping is a long series.
Full ReviewOverall, a cozy, steamy, feel-good story you won’t want to miss.
Full ReviewIf you love alpha males, sassy females with a dash of humor then this is the book for you.
Full ReviewOverall, it was a light fast read and it appears to be a series in the making.
Full ReviewWhat a great starter to an awesome series!
Full ReviewEveryone brought the story together. The settings are written fairly well and easy to picture the scene around you.
Full ReviewI thought that the part that allowed the two to get together was a bit unbelievable, and while it did cause me to tear up a bit, was frustrated by it at the same time.
Full ReviewThe Fireman Who Loved Me could have been a solid and enjoyable romance. Sadly, it fell flat for me thanks to secondary characters and of course the Big Misunderstand.
Full ReviewJennifer Bernard has written an amazing novel and I really had a great time reading this book. It has everything I like; humor, great female characters, good storyline and hunky fire fighters.
Full ReviewRebecca is so over-the-top shallow and annoying that I couldn’t imagine why he’d married such an awful person in the first place.
Full ReviewUnfortunately, the time was given to Ella Joy and Everett, who are fairly unlikable.
Full ReviewOverall not a bad book to pass the time with, but not one to read again.
Full ReviewThis book is well done. I can't wait to see what comes next with the Firemen of San Gabriel.
Full ReviewThe book is funny and Melissa’s grandmother is sassy, funny and meddlesome - in a good way.
Full ReviewHOT, PASSIONATE and FUNNY are three words that all describe the work of Jennifer Bernard.
Full ReviewThe pace is swift and the plot keeps twisting thanks to a spoiled news anchor, family tribulations, emotional baggage, and five-alarm fire drama.
Full ReviewI really did enjoy this story. Bernard wrote some pretty awesome stock characters.
