The fourth book in the popular urban fantasy series starring Atticus O'Sullivan, last of the Druids-the coolest, funniest, and most memorable urban fantasy hero since Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden! This hilarious and action-packed urban fantasy series is set in a modern world in which all the gods of every pantheon are alive and well, as in American Gods; its hero is a smart-mouthed, buttkicking magician, like Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden. But it's told in a... more

Tricked manages to combine the fun aspects of the previous books and give the saga a darker turn to make this book more akin to a thriller.
Full ReviewI find it very difficult that someone who is supposed to be over 2000 years old...could have such as naïve understanding of the environmental issues faced by the Navajo Reservation. Basically, Atticus shows the nuance of an 18-year old college student in his environmental stance...
Full ReviewThe story in Tricked is filled with moments you can’t believe you just read. Some are funny, some are beautiful and many are surprising...I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Full ReviewIf anything, the first book was pretty good, and this book is just leaner, meaner, and more awesome.
Full ReviewIn short, this book is most awesome.
Full Review...it doesn’t move along quite as breathlessly as the previous volumes, and the humor, though still ever-present, seems to be a little muted.
Full ReviewI laughed so hard during the first half of this book that I may have squirted tears a couple of times, and the action in this one pretty much never lets up.
Full ReviewLooking for the best of urban fantasy? You can't do better than Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid Chronicles. And, Tricked, set in Arizona, is the best in the series yet.
Full ReviewIf Kevin Hearne isn’t already on your “must buy” list, he really should be. Miss this at your peril!
Full ReviewHearne is continuing to keep me very entertained with these books – quick, humorous reads with an undercurrent of a larger plot.
Full ReviewI wish desperately that everything could stop when a new Atticus novel is released...It’s easy to get lost in the books of this series...
Full ReviewKevin Hearne shows his brilliant storytelling yet again by delving into the Navajo magic system and religion. This is what really made Tricked a great read.
Full ReviewTricked made me laugh out loud on numerous occasions, it made me chew my fingernails in anticipation and it made me feel smarter for having read it.
Full ReviewReaders will be drawn to the edge of their seats, and will be fully unable to proceed in any other activity until the last page of the book is finished.
Full ReviewKevin delivers not only an thrilling adventure rooted in Native American mythology but also a story with humour, action, and lots of surprises, *and* he gives us some closure about some of the characters who he left behind.
Full ReviewTricked stuck to the Iron Druid style of humor and action...All in all a great addition to the Iron Druid Chronicles.
Full ReviewThis has to be my favourite book of the series so far and it's the first one I've wanted to give all five stars to.
Full ReviewThe strength of this book lies in its focus on Native American lore, using the god Coyote and the skinwalker monsters as foils for Atticus.
Full ReviewIf you like your UF reads filled with snarky humor, sassy dogs, irreverent druids, and evil villains worthy of smiting, then pick up Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid Chronicles...
Full ReviewHearne’s writing reminds me of Jim Butcher at his best, with snappy dialogue and a wry self-awareness that what’s going on is rather unusual and worthy of a raised eyebrow.
Full ReviewIt was an interesting story with Atticus and his apprentice stuck in the middle of his poor decisions and having to deal with the consequences of making a deal with a trickster.
Full Review...each book manages to tell us about mythology, beliefs and traditions of different cultures (in this case, Navajo), and that, my dear readers, is priceless.
Full ReviewHearne writes a very good novel, compelling and action-packed. He is a fresh, different voice in Urban Fantasy...
Full ReviewOverall, I was not thrilled with this installment. Hearne’s writing seems to be deteriorating to a juvenile level…
Full ReviewAction-packed, this witty thriller is a fun tale as readers learn why the state’s politicans insist they have a horrid illegal alien problem.
Full ReviewIt was WONDERFUL. The only complaint I have is that it was too short.
