“You can't miss with Anya.”—A Romance ReviewNew York Times bestselling author Anya Bast introduces her newest paranormal romance, set in the world of Norse mythology...Over a thousand years ago, Broder Grimsson committed murder and was punished by being made part of the Brotherhood of the Damned, ruled by the Trickster God Loki.As a reward, Broder is given a romantic match by Loki. But Jessamine Hamilton is not an ordinary woman, and the truth of who—and what—she is could have devastating consequences, not just for Broder, but for all humanity...
I found that there were a number of strands that were never picked up on...This felt like a wasted opportunity.
Full ReviewI look forward to seeing where the author takes us with this series.
Full ReviewAll in all, it wasn’t a terrible book...but nothing that really wowed me.
Full ReviewThis is a thrilling start to a new series that I cannot wait to see more from!
Full Reviewthis wasn’t my favorite Bast read. I struggled through the first half or so with the slow moving plot and the lack of connection between myself and the book, and the characters themselves.
Full ReviewEmbrace of the Damned is a sexy, dark paranormal romance. If you like sexy Vikings, smart-ass women and Norse mythology then this is one Viking romance I definitely recommend.
Full ReviewJessa and Broder’s story kept me reading long after the clock said I should’ve been sound asleep.
Full ReviewTortured Viking heroes, cursed in different ways, they each revealed slivers of their personalities that has me very excited and hopeful that they will find more worthy matches than Broder in upcoming Brotherhood of the Damned books.
Full ReviewMs Bast gives the readers a new storyline and a new reality to lose themselves in. She has continued as an interesting, intense, sensual writer who gives hours of enjoyment to her readers. The book is well paced and thought out with entertaining primary and secondary characters that I can't wait to read more of.
Full ReviewThe book moves along at a smart pace. There's plenty of suspense, mystery, and danger to keep you reading into the night.
Full ReviewI liked the book and will be keeping my eye out for Book 2.
