The romance in this book is sweet and slow, and lovely. Instead of a raging fire, Janni gives us a slow simmer.
Full ReviewSimner has crafted such a satisfying and full conclusion to her Bones of Faerie novel I'm still in Lizzy's town as I write my review.
Full ReviewLiza's tale works despite the jumble of crowd-pleasing elements (post-apocalyptic dystopia, multigenerational faerie love stories, werewolf heartthrob). Graphic descriptions of murdered children push the story older than the reading level of its prose.
Full ReviewIf you like your fiction a little dark and sometimes downright terrifying they could very well make your top list.
Full ReviewOverall, I was really impressed with this novel, and Janni Lee Simner did a wonderful job portraying characters and keeping the novel contantly interesting.
Full ReviewThis book was so hard to put down, because the story was just so amazing. The way Ms. Simner melds both the feelings of despair during winter and the hope for spring yet to come.
Full ReviewThe vocabulary was easy to understand and age appropriate. This book has a voice that is slightly eerie with undertones of romance.
Full ReviewSimner draws the reader into a world that is heartbreaking and scary while keeping the characters real and the story interesting.
Full ReviewI guess I’ll start with Wow. It felt exactly like the same world that I loved.
Full ReviewThere’s such a subtlety in her writing and an effortlessness in the way everything is weaved together that you sink in and simply become immersed in it.
Full ReviewAs well as layered characters, Simner crafts complex relationship webs.
Full ReviewI was very positive about Bones of Faerie in my review so you can probably guess what see where this was going. Loved Faerie Winter. Loved.
Full ReviewA very good continuation of Liza’s story. I really enjoyed it, and felt that most questions I had after Bones of Faerie were answered.
Full ReviewIt’s an engaging and thoroughly mesmerizing novel with unpredictable and unexpected twists and turns.
Full ReviewThis sequel to Bones of Faerie continues that novel's taut writing, interestingly post-apocalyptic worldbuilding, and complicated character dynamics.
Full ReviewI really found Bones of Faerie to be an amazing read, and I seriously encourage all of you to go out and get a copy of it quick-smart.
Full ReviewFaerie Winter has an ever stronger plot, more romantic hints, and a more complicated look at human nature, as well as deeper, darker mystery.
Full ReviewA clever tale about a world that’s falling apart, a race of beings that want to wipe out human population and a girl who has the power to change everything.
Full ReviewI loved everything about this book. Faerie Winter is a book I can read again and again.
