I do have a lingering sense that there were bits missing I’d have liked to have seen but I can’t tell how much of that is related to the disjointedness of my reading or really articulate what those things were.
As you can see I enjoyed quite a lot in this book. But I did not enjoy couple of plot twists. The first one was just something I struggled to suspend disbelief about – a tremendous coincidence which ends up being a very significant one in order to make the story move where it needs to go.
There are a lot of conversations between the two guys about their respective pasts and what their relationship means, which is fine, if a bit boring at times. The book is mostly redeemed by steamy sex scenes. Not a bad book, if occasionally dull.
