I adored this book, and would recommend it for any teenage reader: from sci-fi to action to romance, this book has something for everyone.
Letters to Nowhere was just a book that worked so well for me personally. The grief, the happy romance – it all had a way of working together to make an excellent whole.
...mental gymnastics necessary...the introduction of too many new characters and the relentless jumps back and forth in time make it nearly impossible to stay rooted in the story, no matter how endearing the cast might be. In a word: exhausting.
In the end, I can definitely recommend Third Degree for anyone looking for a story that features a truly unique heroine. You won't find any of the cliches that litter so many new adult titles. Indeed, I don't think there was a single tattoo in the whole book!
This is the second book written by Julie Cross that I’ve read, and both have been solid. If she can tighten up some confusing dialogue and work on pacing issues and simplistic resolutions, I'll be looking forward to reading more by Ms. Cross.
