"After my passing interest in antique typewriters became more of an obsession I realized why my grandmother had encouraged me to write by keeping a journal.  This text is after a fashion a journal only of observations of how myself and the world I knew has moved on.
No more walks alone in the dark for there really are things that go bump in the night far more frightening than the ones you heard about in fairy tales.  And the knowing that they go on about their horrid business willingly and without regret makes it only more so.
Yet it is not too late.  The light switch is well within reach.  And anyway, when all is said and done, they are only words after all.
