Mr. McDuffel forgets to lock the door behind him, so eight silly farm animals march into his house, much to his cat’s dismay. As the clock strikes each passing hour, the animals have a ball playing dress-up, dancing, making lunch, and in general creating chaos until Mr. McDuffel returns at four to find them scattered throughout the house, fast asleep.

In an interesting design, Plecas's (Agapanthus Hum and the Eyeglasses) chipper watercolors unfold the parallel time line of Mr. McDuffel's errand in small spot art throughout busy larger scenes of the frolicking animals.
